Match Report: Away loss to Sporting Club Huelva (2-0)

Both sides tested each other out in the early stages of the game with the home side having further forays forward with intricate link-up play.
Andrea Esteban’s side tried it from dead-ball situations. Albeit Candela’s long-range effort which fizzed past the left-hand post on 17 minutes, was VCF Femenino’s most meaningful chance.
The home side were dictating possession. However, Candela tried it from long range and just three minutes later, Esther saw her free-kick effort rattle the post.
Over the 30-minute mark, Noelia Gil kept out an Anita Marcos free-kick effort as VCF Femenino settled into the game with three great goalscoring chances.
The remainder of the half played out with no further incidents and the referee blew the half-time whistle. The first half finished locked-together at 0-0.
The same script followed in the second half. However, it evened out soon enough. Mayra broke the deadlock on 69 minutes. VCF Femenino kept on pushing for the equaliser as Altuve tried to chip Chelsea on 77 minutes.
Alas, it was the aforementioned Mayra who made it 2-0 to Sporting Club Huelva on 86 minutes the scoreline remained unchanged and VCF Femenino fell to an away loss to Sporting Club Huelva.
VCF Femenino will welcome Real Sociedad in midweek.
